Join us every Wed. night starting June 15 for our Summer Fun Nights. Beginning with a potluck dinner at 5:30pm on the Hill (bring a side/salad/dessert to share), each night will have it’s own games and activities for everyone. From our toddlers to our seasoned folk, everyone will have a place at the Summer Fun Nights. There will be water balloons, game shows, concerts, olympic games, nature walks, bike riding, bocce and much more. Here is a booklet with details about each night. Hope to see you there!
Want a wonderful evening out full of food, laughter and friends? Then join us on Jan. 9 at 5:30pm for the Covenant Comedy Cafe! Beginning with a catered dinner followed up with a night of comedy and music by comedians Bean and Bailey, this promises to be a night you won’t forget. Tickets are $25 (or $15 for just the show) and childcare is provided. Bring the whole family and laugh the winter blues away. Click here to request tickets.
Join us on Christmas Eve as we hear the story, sing our praises, and celebrate our Messiah’s birth. Through candles and hymns, stories and songs, we join together in community to worship Immanuel, God with us. Our services are at 4pm and 10pm with childcare provided at both.
This Saturday, Dec. 12, we gather for our annual All Church Progressive Dinner! At 6pm everyone meets at the Groody’s for appetizers and then heads out to your respective homes for dinner. When you signed up, we put you in dinner groups and your host(ess) should be contacting you soon to welcome you, give you directions, and tell you what to bring. Once our dinners are finished, we gather once again as a whole for desserts at Lundstedt’s.
On Friday, Nov. 27 at 10am, we meet at Central Park in Grayslake for perhaps the most important event of the year: the 3rd Annual Turkey Bowl! Dressed for the elements, we gather, women and men, children and adults, young and old, to find out who has what it takes to be this year’s Turkey Bowl Champions. It’s flag football at its finest and there is no skill requirement at all. Seriously, you should see us play and you’ll know that skill is completely optional.
When we’re finished, we’ll be heading over to Scott and Teresa Anderson’s for a post Thanksgiving feast warm up celebration. Bring your leftovers ’cause this one is a potluck. If you’d rather skip the game and just head to the Anderson’s, the feast begins at noon.
Invite your friends, your family, your neighbors, and anyone else you can find and join us as we grow together!
On Sunday, Sept. 6 we are kicking off our school-year programming with an amazing morning of fun and worship. At 9:15am we gather at church for a special Kickoff coffee hour. Pastries, breakfast foods and, of course, coffee will set the tone for a time to chat and get to know the people of LCC. Then we’ll move into the sanctuary together
It is with joy and thanksgiving that we announce a candidate for the senior pastor position at Libertyville Covenant Church! By unanimous vote of the Search Committee on June 17, 2014, Pastor Steven Larson was asked to come to Libertyville for a weekend to meet the congregation and preach on Sunday morning.
Attached you will find a bio introducing you to Pastor Steve Larson. You will also find a schedule for this coming weekend at which time you can meet Pastor Steve Larson and his family. Please pass this information along to those family or friends that may not have email access.
