Since 1977 we have been serving God in Lake County. We desire to help people find a personal faith relationship with Jesus Christ and to grow in that faith through inspiring worship, relevant Bible study and hands-on ministry in our community. As a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church we are committed to living the Good News, participating in worldwide mission, and practicing an authentic Christian faith.
While we are all called to general ministry practices like giving, sharing our faith, reading the bible, and prayer, we are also called to specific ministries. But finding out what those ministries are can be really hard. The last 5 weeks we’ve been looking at the SHAPE of our own particular ministry, where our unique SHAPE is formed by our…

Men of LCC! It’s that time of year again: time to get to know each other better as we spend 12 hours in a car, time to ski and snowshoe and broomball and trapshoot, time to play games and sing songs, and time to worship together. Yes, it’s time for the Covenant Point Men’s Retreat!
We need to know how many vans we need for the trip, so please sign up asap, but definitely no later than Feb. 17th. You can register by clicking HERE, but please let us know you’re going so we can arrange housing and transportation together. While all who can make it early will leave at 1pm, there is usually a group who leaves later as well.
Remember the fun we had last year? Jay’s stories around the fire? Larry showing off his shooting skills? Youngki on cross country skis? Our amazing victory in broomball (a victory that nobody got hurt!)? Sign up today and let’s grow together!
On Wednesday, November 16th, we have a special ADVENTure Night planned as we prepare for Advent together. All are invited to join us at 5:30 p.m. for a Waffle and Smoothy Bar in the Fellowship Hall. Following dinner we will have a time of music and a Christmas Story and then will get busy packing operation Christmas Child boxes and making a craft to go along with an advent devotional book “Searching for the Christmas Lamb” ($11/book) to be used with your family during the season. To sign up, click here.
In the month of November, we take time to focus our attention on all that God has given us. It’s a season of gratitude and our daily prayers and weekly worship reflect that. But as we think of all we have, we can’t help but recognize that there are billions around the world who have less. So, as a month-long act of worship, we present the Gratitude and Giving Calendar! Each day, there is a gift that God has given us (blankets, clean water, education…) and a way to give money to those who live without it through Covenant World Relief. Please print the weeks calendar and then as a family or on your own use it as a prompt for both prayer and giving. At our Thanksgiving Eve service, we will bring our banks/boxes/envelopes forward in worship. If you have questions, let us know!
