Since 1977 we have been serving God in Lake County. We desire to help people find a personal faith relationship with Jesus Christ and to grow in that faith through inspiring worship, relevant Bible study and hands-on ministry in our community. As a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church we are committed to living the Good News, participating in worldwide mission, and practicing an authentic Christian faith.
In the month of November, we take time to focus our attention on all that God has given us. It’s a season of gratitude and our daily prayers and weekly worship reflect that. But as we think of all we have, we can’t help but recognize that there are billions around the world who have less. So, as a month-long act of worship, we present the Gratitude and Giving Calendar! Each day, there is a gift that God has given us (blankets, clean water, education…) and a way to give money to those who live without it through Covenant World Relief. Please print the weeks calendar and then as a family or on your own use it as a prompt for both prayer and giving. At our Thanksgiving Eve service, we will bring our banks/boxes/envelopes forward in worship. If you have questions, let us know!
Kids have lots of questions about the sacraments, and so do grown ups! What does baptism do? When should we start taking communion? Should we dedicate our infants or baptize them? These questions and many more will be discussed this Sunday, Oct. 23 from 2-4pm at LCC at our Sacraments Workshop. Led by Pastor Steve and Bobby, this workshop is for kids and their parents, but is open to anyone in the church! We look forward to seeing you all there.
Throughout the school year, we gather every Wednesday night for Midweek Together. We kick off at 5:30pm with dinner for everyone ($3/person or $8/family). At 6:15pm, our children in nursery through 5th grade gather for Kids Club in the choir room, and at 6:30pm our Middle Schoolers have Youth Group in the youth room. At 6:45pm our choir meets in the sanctuary for practice, our Adult Bible Study meets in the Confirmation room for a study on the book of Revelation, and our Mom’s Group meets in Pastor Paul’s office for prayer and stories. Everything wraps up at 7:45pm.
All are welcome and encouraged to bring your friends and neighbors. What better way to get to know us and Jesus than with a few hours together? See you then!
Summer is over, but our Fall season is just beginning! And it all begins with…
9:15am Everyone meets in the sanctuary for music, drama and an introduction to our teachers and themes
10:30am We worship together, introducing our fall sermon series called “Promises”. Nursery and Children’s Church are available.
12:00pm After worship, we gather on the Hill for a Kickoff picnic! Food (bring a side dish to share), games, and fun for all ages!
Looking for a church home? We’d love to meet you, so come out and see what we’re all about.
